or an ongoing opportunity for yourself, we have a wide array of ways to help.

How to volunteer

Individual Volunteers (Ages 14+)

Volunteer At The Pantry

Thank you for considering sharing your time and talent with the West Suburban Community Pantry. The pantry serves thousands of families facing food insecurity in DuPage and Will counties. Volunteers support our mission by stocking shelves, sorting donations, packing online orders, loading cars and distributing online food orders. Other opportunities such as senior delivery, food rescue driving, and clerical work are available throughout the year.

Volunteers must meet the following requirements:

  • Able to remain active for 2 hours (limited seated positions are available)
  • Able to lift a gallon of milk in each hand (for all market positions)
  • At least 14 years of age

Volunteer shifts are available on the following dates and times:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 8am-3pm
  • Thursday: 8am-8pm
  • Saturday: 8am-3pm
  • Sunday: Closed

Corporate & Community Groups

West Suburban Community Pantry welcomes groups to volunteer together. Volunteering is a great way for group members to connect with each other in new ways and support their community.
