It’s shocking but true – 70% of our neighbors who need food assistance aren’t receiving any help. It’s often because they lack transportation, can’t take time from work or childcare to get help, or are concerned about asking someone they’ve never met for assistance.
If you give today, we can make an even bigger impact! Thanks to the generous match donation from Perma-Seal Community Fund with the DuPage Foundation, every dollar donated to the Close the Gap campaign will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $30,000, until March 31, 2021.
West Suburban Community Pantry is committed to helping struggling families reach for a better tomorrow. The Access 2020 initiative is our bold plan to double the number of people we serve. It will also make our services more convenient, easy, and discreet.
We launched Access 2020 in 2019, but the COVID-19 crisis forced us to pause the effort. The need for meals has remained high, but we’re meeting the challenge thanks to volunteers and supporters — so we’re ready to move forward with our innovation plan. But we have to close our funding gap first.
Access 2020 will give struggling households a brighter future by creating:
An online ordering program with delivery locations closer to home or work for people in need
Expanded warehouse space and a convenient pick-up area at our facility for online orders
Enhanced on-site pantry store and classroom space for nutrition and resource classes
Because of you, we’ll nourish twice as many people — and offer them support with more dignity and convenience. Please help us close the gap so we can finish launching our Access 2020 plan.
