Plan a Harvest Week Food Drive

Take action today.

Harvest Week takes place Sunday, September 22 – Monday, September 29. Plan a food drive to Pack the Pantry during Harvest Week and help West Suburban Community Pantry (WSCP) provide nutritious food options for our neighbors in need. Bring your donations to WSCP or to community drop off sites – just look for our “donate here” bins!

Raise your voice.

Take part in making an impact to help our entire community thrive. Become a WSCP Advocacy Ambassador and stay informed about actions you can take to connect more people to financial support and resources. Add your voice to increase the political will to end hunger—we will send out action alerts when there is pending legislation that can increase food and nutrition security in our community.

The number of people in the US turning to food programs increased from 49 million to 52 million in the past year. In Illinois, the child food insecurity rate worsened from 1 in 9 to 1 in 6 children. Despite the challenges, food insecurity remains a pervasive issue impacting communities across the entire state of Illinois.
