For many families in our community, summer brings added stress as children lose access to free and reduced-price school meals. Rising food costs, childcare expenses, and the challenge of keeping active kids nourished can place extra strain on already tight household budgets.
Through West Suburban Community Pantry, families can access fresh produce, milk, pantry staples, healthy snacks, and other nutritious foods throughout the summer months. Children live in 40% of the households served by the Pantry, making this support especially important when school is out.
