Preparing Healthy Meals
Presented By: The University of Illinois Extension

Offered quarterly in partnership with the University of Illinois Extension, this cooking demo uses recipes inspired by the food items available at WSCP to help clients make healthy choices and select food items they may not be familiar with preparing or eating. Clients can also taste the snacks and meals made. Recipes are available for clients during and after the sessions.

The next tasting will be posted here as well as in the Client Waiting Area at the Pantry.

Eating Smart – Being Active
Presented by: Advocate Health and the University of Illinois Extension

The Healthy Lifestyles workshop consist of four lessons that will present ways in which to live an active lifestyle by eating healthy while still watching your budget. Each lesson will be followed by a question-and-answer session with a dietitian who will make personalized recommendations and feedback for participants. This program is made possible by Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital.
