School Breakfast
Eligible school districts receive breakfast foods as needed throughout the school year and for summer school programs.
Healthy Snacks
The West Suburban Community Pantry provides interested school districts snacks for the Nurse’s office. Nurses distribute these snacks to students who feel ill, but may actually be hungry. Snacks for summer school programs are also provided.
Weekend Backpacks
Backpacks filled with food for weekend meals are given to eligible children throughout the school year.
Friends Feeding Families
The West Suburban Community Pantry is proud to partner with Friends Feeding Families (aka F3). Friends Feeding Families is a group that has been set-up in Lisle School District 202. Its mission is to make a positive impact in the school’s community by bridging food resources for families who could benefit from a little extra food support. WSCP partners in the group’s mission by replenishing food items in the mini-pantry at Lisle Senior High School throughout the school year.
Summer Lunch Program
During summer months, while school is not in session, families struggling with food insecurity can find relief with the Pantry’s partnership with two of our local libraries.
