We are able to make DOUBLE the impact because all donations made through October 20, 2022 were matched. This is an essential boost for West Suburban Community Pantry (WSCP) to be able to meet the need in DuPage and Will Counties.
We still have more work to do as we are seeing more people come to us for help.
Individuals and families who usually would not need assistance are reaching out as their household budgets are bursting from higher gas prices, inflation, and the end of the national free breakfast and lunch program for children. We are also now heading into the holiday season, which tends to put a strain on budgets.
Throughout the challenge, we talked about ways that the community can help in addition to donating dollars by hosting a food drive, donating gas cards, or hosting a food drive.
The community’s support allows us to do what we do best – directly nourish, connect, and empower people so they can improve their lives. Discover the programs and resources we offer here at WSCP, from the Virtual Food Pantry to finding employment, education, and transportation for our neighbors in need.
